If you lack definition and shine
If you like a softer cast
If you have frizz
If you like having curls that move with you
Works for any curl wave or type

If your curls need a little protein boost
If you want to refresh your hair anytime after your initial wash day
If you want to add extra definition to your curls before you add the Curling Custard
Wavy girls have gotten excellent results by using this before either curling custard to give their waves the extra strength it needs to keep its shape all day.
Instructions
You can use the Curl Define and Refresh Spray alone or with a small amount of curling custard. See what your curls like best. For best application, apply the spray, scrunch, then diffuse the wet areas.

Clarifying your curls properly can fix alot of the issues you are experiencing with your curls.
Make sure your clarifying shampoo isn’t loaded down with polyquats, silicones like dimethicone, amodimethicone or make sure they are way down on the ingredient list. My favorite clarifying shampoo is Sunday by Bumble & Bumble (not affiliated with them).
After you clarify, always follow up with a good protein conditioner.
Protein after clarifying will help to fortify your curls. My favorite protein conditioner is the Hi Pac Protein mask by Demert. (not affiliated with them).
Look at your curls leading up to wash day. What are your curls telling you? Are they dry & frizzy? Are they limp and lacking definition and bounce? These small indicators will help you choose the correct shampoo and conditioner for your hair. Always pick the appropriate shampoo & conditioner and this will help your curls to be healthy.
If your curls are dry, frizzy or damaged, pick a shampoo and conditioner that says moisturizing or for dry & damaged hair.
If your curls are limp and lacking definition, first clarify then try a protein conditioner. If your curls remain limp, first, stop using curl creams. The next thing you’ll want to do is style your hair closer to the time you are washing and conditioning. If you continue to have limp curls after trying everything, you’ll want to schedule a haircut with a curl stylist.
One of the biggest issues I’ve seen amongst people with curly hair is how long people allow their hair to sit in a hair towel after they wash their hair. Conditioner was made for a reason - to condition our hair, provide slip, reduce frizz.
When you allow your hair to sit too long in a hair towel after washing, you’ll have to rewet your hair with alot of water. Rewetting your hair before styling decreases the effectiveness of your initial conditioner.
By styling your hair shortly after washing, conditioning and rinsing, you are harnessing the power from the conditioner and you will have much better results with your products, no matter what you use, just by making this one small change.
If you have struggled with your curls, and just cannot figure out why you are not having good results no matter what you are doing, schedule a consult with Laura (under the shop page), and we’ll go over what products you are currently using, what your styling techniques are, and you’ll be able to see what small changes you can make to have better results.
